Data storage is essential for current tech use in 2023. Any application that is downloaded takes up storage, any photo or video takes up storage, any messages we send and save take up storage. For starters, storage is equivalent to space in a house, you only have so much space before it is completely full. From there we enter the external hard drive. like the internal hhd this device shares the same features except can be freely disconnected and shared universally with other devices. As convenient as this storage option is, it creates an issue with sharing or storing data when you don' have these devices readily available. That is where cloud storage comes in.

Each of these brands provide cloud storage for all users through a monthly subscription.  The prices range from $2.99 a month to around $15 a month. The price for these subscriptions are very affordable compared to purchasing hard drives every so often. 

But how does this storage system work? Is there no actual storage device needed?
